Workshop at the Wadden sea: Water, air and land
July 10 - 12, 2020

Fully booked !

Corona update

Due to the Coronavirus, it was decided not to have the workshop take place on the planned date (April 3 - 5). Assuming that everything will be 'normal' in a few months' time, we have moved this workshop weekend to the weekend of 10 - 12 July 2020. Unfortunately, due to the new date, some people have to drop out. Annoying for the people and annoying for me, but health is of course paramount. The fact now has the consequence that the originally fully booked workshop now has a few places available again.

Note : I understand that due to the unpredictable course of this outbreak, you are not immediately eager to sign up for this very nice workshop right now. If you are interested, please send me an email so we can see how we can arrange this to everyone's satisfaction.

For the fourth time I organize this workshop. With a tjalk and a group of max. 12 participants, we roam the beautiful mudflats for a weekend. Of course a lot of photography both from the boat and from the mudflats during the drying out. We will most likely also take a morning photograph on the beautiful island of Terschelling. The possibilities from the beach are also different than exclusively from the ship.

A wonderful combination of peace, sailing, fun and of course, that's what we come for, great photography opportunities.

In consultation with the skippers, this weekend in April was chosen because of the relatively high chance of being able to run dry at decent times (the weather always plays a major role). There is also a lot of moonlight on those nights, so hopefully we can take some pictures at night.

Once on board, the route and destination are determined. These depend on the weather and the tide. The intention is to stay on the mudflats as much as possible. This means that we can take photographic work early in the morning, late in the evening and at any time we want.

During the weekend we will focus on technically good photography, but especially on learning to look. What is interesting and what is not, what you leave out and what you include in your image.

There will be time for editing your raw images and we will definitely make time to discuss the images you have taken.

Duration: from Friday 10 July, 7 to 8 pm, to Sunday afternoon 12 July, approx. 5 pm.

Costs : 430 euros pp. (Unfortunately everything has become so much more expensive that I have had to increase the price slightly after staying the same for 3 years now. All meals and drinks are still included of course)

Included : Food and drinks, accommodation, transportation and photographic guidance. (All-In)

Group size : The group size is 10 - 12 persons. That is a bit bigger than usual in my workshops, but I do not only supervise this workshop. Also this time Mart Smit (smitinbeeld.nl) will accompany me on the trip. So there is ample attention for everyone to help him / her take better photos.

The ship : An option has been taken on a comfortable 22 pers. ship with 9 cabins (2 x 4 pers. and 7 x 2 pers.). A spacious kitchen, cozy common room, 2 showers & 2 toilets. We will do the distribution of the cabins in close consultation, but it will be clear that no claim can be made for a private cabin.

Level : Suitable for all levels and for all types of (digital) cameras.

Note : Of course we will follow the Corona crisis closely (just like everyone else) and we will act wisely and following the rules of the RIVM institute.

The weather conditions will help determine our program. Of course, a lot of time has been devoted to photography, although an alternative will sometimes be sought.

Important : The general terms and conditions apply to all my workshops .
